Money Woes

Michael Abramowitz and Jon Cohen, Washington Post Staff Writers. in an article on Monday, February 4, 2008; page A01, said, "Public views of the national economy are now more negative than at any point in nearly 15 years. . .more than eight in 10 Americans describe the economy as "not so good" or "poor. . ."

The Word of God is clear, we are to work hard and consistently. There is no "free ride" in God's economy for anyone who is able-bodied and capable of turning in a day's work. Providing for one's self and one's family is not just a good idea, it is mandatory.

But God is generous to a fault. When we have done the best we can, under the circumstances in which we find ourselves, His promise in Luke 6:38 stands like a beacon in the dark -- Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure--pressed down, shaken together, and running over-- will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

If you're struggling with that, test it!
